Which is better for my program, a local team dealer or a national team dealer?

It depends on the program. A national dealer such as BSN Sports — a Varsity Brands company selling team gear since 1972 — offers a wide catalog, online team shops, and sales support for schools across the country, including California. A local independent dealer such as National Sports Apparel, family-owned in Orange since 2009, is built around one rep and multi-brand orders for California schools and clubs. Neither is automatically better. Price the same roster both ways.

Coaches and athletic directors in California usually end up comparing two kinds of supplier: a local independent team dealer, and a national dealer with a catalog that covers the whole country. BSN Sports is one well-known national example. This page is about the category choice, not a ranking.
